Bookoisseur

I read. I write. I spend all together too much time on the internet. I talk incessantly about books, TV and movies. I write for Hello Giggles, and tweet frequently as Bookoisseur.

When I am attacked by gloomy thoughts, nothing helps me so much as running to my books. They quickly absorb me and banish the clouds from my mind.

Unclear how superglue factors into all this.

Glue has a component of it that is made from the hooves of hoofed animals like horses and pigs. Don’t ask how I know this. I can only assume that the “super” part of it has to do with the fact that anything from a unicorn would be hella better than a normal horse.

Reading is the work of the alert mind, is demanding, and under ideal conditions, produces finally a source of ecstacy. This gives the experience of reading a sublimity and power unequaled by any other form of communication.

A library is a good place to go when you feel unhappy, for there, in a book, you may find encouragement and comfort. A library is a good place to go when you feel bewildered or undecided, for there, in a book, you may have your question answered. Books are good company, in sad times and happy times, for books are people - people who have managed to stay alive by hiding between the covers of a book.
